I have a VI that is sampling from two strain gauges (using a 9237 module), an LVDT, and an RVDT (using the voltage input of a 9205 module).  I created a task in the Measurement and Automation Explorer and set the sampling rate and number of samples in there.  I also set the sampling rate and the number of samples in the front panel of LabView.  However, once the VI is run, the program only samples for a short period of time (something like 0.613 seconds when it is supposed to run for 10 seconds).  The time increases linearly if I increase the number of samples, however it will not sample for the correct amount of time.  I have tried changing the sample rate and number of samples in MAX task as well, but nothing changes when that is done.

Are you sure that you are not getting an error? Depending on how you've written the program, an error will stop the VI.

What happens when you run the task in MAX? What are your settings? (A screenshot is usually very helpful.)

The NI 9237 has a minimum sample rate of 50K/31 about 1613 samples per sec
