HI there,

I am having some minor issues with the multi-channel lock in
demo for Labview. I was successful in running the demo on Labview 8.2 for Windows
XP, but when I try running the multichannel lock-in demo on Labview 8.5
for OS X, I run into some problems. I am just trying to test the
connection to the demo by using the NI USB-6008. When I plug the NI USB-6008 into the computer with OS X, the light on the USB device has a single-blinking green light, and functions properly with various Labview example progams. However, when I open my mutli-channel lock-in demo, I cannot find the physical channels that my USB device is confugred for. I have tried to manually type the channel names into the cursor box for channels, but I get error message 200428 when I do that. Is there some reason why my lock-in program seems to be incompatible for OS X?Thanks,Sam

Hey Sam,The DAQmx driver is not compatible with OSX. Instead, you must use a lightweight version of the driver called DAQmx Base. I have attached some links with some more information about LabVIEW, OSX, and DAQmx Base including the download. Note, you will have to switch the firmware on the 6008 to use DAQmx Base.National Instruments and Mac OS X -- Frequently Asked Questionshttp://www.ni.com/mac/support.htm Using a USB-6008 / 6009 / 6501 in MAX, and Switching Firmware Between NI-DAQmx and NI-DAQmx Basehttp://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/1448A8AC665EE0EA8625703F004A4410?OpenDocument NI-DAQmx Base 3.1 - Mac OS Xhttp://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/970/lang/en
